1. What happens after I register for Personal Coaching?
Once we receive your registration and payment you will be contacted by a coach. They will answer any immediate questions you have and then ask you a number of questions about your goals and history. Once they have enough information they will begin building your training plan. You will receive information on how to view your personal plan and how to keep a training log that you and your coach can review.
2. How often is my training reviewed?
Every coach has their own way exact way of doing things. However, your training log entries are emailed daily to your coach. This allows them to monitor your training regularly and respond if something important happens. We recommend that coaches write programs in two week blocks so that they carefully review the previous two week and make sure you are on track.
3. How often can I email, instant message (IM), skype or call my coach?
The optimal coach-athlete relationship is different for everyone. You will notice we do not outline clear restrictions on the amount of emailing or phone calling you can do with your coach. You can email your coach anytime. However, if you do email your coach a lot then you have to respect that they will give you quicker answers since the amount of time emailing is adding up and they are getting paid X amount of dollars each month. We like to keep it flexible and leave it up to you and your coach to sort out the best arrangement. It could mean a weekly email review or a weekly phone call that is 15 minutes long. Or, it could be a twenty minute skype call bi-weekly and some emailing back and forth. And, that arrangement may change throughout the year depending on what you need at the time. If you would like your coach to spend more time helping you but they don't have any more paid time available then you can pay for additional time by the hour or pay a higher monthly fee.
4. Whose responsibility are any long distance charges?
Any long distance phone calls to a coach are the responsibility of the athlete. If you would like to cut down on long distance charges then we highly recommend SKYPE as a very affordable alternative.
